TV star June Whitfield and pop star Lenny Zakatek joined a party to celebrate Tesco granting a cancer charity a rent-free lease of its HQ for 21 years.
South East Cancer Help Centre has been given permission to remain at the property, in the big Tesco site in Purley.
Absolutely Fabulous star Ms Whitfield was joined by the Purley-based singer and members of local rotary clubs on March 16 in recognition of the crucial decision.
She said: “The centre has provided fabulous support to its members for many years. Congratulations on renewing the lease with Tesco. It is wonderful and comforting to know the centre will be here for another 21 years.”
