TV presenter Clare Balding dropped by a secondary school to discuss diversity with students.

She was joined by journalist partner Alice Arnold on a visit to Harris City Academy Crystal Palace on Monday.

The charity Diversity Role Models, of which both are patrons, held workshops with year 10 students to challenge lesbian, gay and bixsexual stereotypes in schools.

Hilary Macaulay, school principal, said: “We believe that young people can only realise their full potential if they are free to explore and understand who they are – free from fear of judgement.

“We will never let anyone have to pretend to be someone or something they aren’t, and today was another celebration of that.”
