Naomi Boyle, 25, from Old Lodge Lane in Purley, is fighting a late-night parking ticket she was given at 11.07pm.
She was issued with the PCN on Friday, February 23, for having one or more wheels on a kerb in a quiet residential street with no yellow lines or parking restrictions.
However, Naomi claims she was parked outside her house on a dropped kerb. She said: "I cannot believe we have traffic wardens issuing tickets so late at night. Not only is the timing of the ticket shocking, but the information is inaccurate. It said I was parked outside number 69 but I wasn't. I was parked outside my own house at number 71 which has a dropped kerb.
"It would be easier to swallow if it was on a street which had yellow lines and parking restrictions but it's not. I'm not paying it and I've written to the council to appeal."
A Croydon Council spokesman said it was not unusual for traffic wardens to issue tickets as late as 11pm because the borough's parking regulations are enforced 24 hours a day.
He added: "The car was parked illegally and we have photographs to prove it."

It's clear many of you are not happy with the way the rules are being implemented.
Some will be shocked to learn traffic wardens are still prowling quiet residential streets late into the night.
More will be dismayed to read about a council warden who slapped a ticket on a pensioner's car because she could not be bothered to wipe snow from the windscreen.
