Children’s charity Barnardo’s is launching a community hub in Crystal Palace with opportunities for jobs and volunteering up for grabs.

The charity is asking locals to get behind its project – The Triangle, which will feature an indoor and outdoor play area, a cafe and shop stocked with baby clothes, toys and more.

Dedicated conference rooms will be available for hire with any income raised donated to Barnado’s work in the area.

The charity wants to employ local people at the Coxwell Road site and is looking for a team manager, service administrator, play leader and a team of volunteers.

Manager Rajinder Nagra said: "We want this to become a significant new family destination for the area, and we want local people to help us make the centre the best it can be."

The centre will open in August with a small entry charge per child.

To discuss volunteering email rajinder.nagra@barnardos.org.uk or call 020 87710907.

You can also visit the team at the Crystal Palace Overground Festival on June 27 and 28.

Jobs will appear on the Barnardo’s website from May 29.
