Part of Topsham Road was closed yesterday afternoon after a car caught fire.
The car caught fire at about 5.15pm near the junction with Montana Road, a residential road behind Tooting Bec station, according to a witness.

John Kiernan, watch manager at Tooting fire station, said they were called at 5.14pm, sent a fire engine which had the fire under control by 5.46pm. He said no-one was injured and the cause was under investigation.
