We've had pop up restaurants, pop up cinema, and now Croydon has pop up ping pong.
Table tennis tables have been set up in the Whitgift Centre, and will also appear at other town centre landmarks such as Matthews Yard, The Platform at Ruskin Square and Rise Gallery as well as Croydon Arena and assorted parks in the borough as part of the Ping! festival.
Play is free, and all equipment has been provided as part of a partnership between arts group Sing London and Croydon Council.
As well as free play, there will be master classes, and free to join activities and a weekly competition held on Thursdays between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
The tables will be in place until August 21
