A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy road in Croydon town centre.
Police, ambulance and the air ambulance services were called to Barclay Road where it becomes Fairfield Road in Croydon at 4.45pm on Friday.
The boy was taken to hospital. On Saturday police reported he was in a serious condition but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car, a silver Hyundai, stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call 020 8285 1574.
