Epsom Council is on the hunt for the borough’s sporting elite ahead of the 2015 Epsom & Ewell sports awards.
It is looking for nominations to recognise athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams and clubs for their achievements over the past year. There are 10 awards available, including sports personality of the year, sports club of the year and disability sports awards.
The awards can be given to sports talent who have achieved outstanding results between September 1 2014 and August 31 2015.
Councillor Jan Mason, chairman of the leisure committee said: “The Epsom & Ewell Sports Awards is an excellent opportunity to reward the borough’s hard working sports enthusiasts and to celebrate and recognise their sporting achievements, dedication, commitment and excellence over the last year.
“The nominations can help the borough’s sporting talent progress to the Surrey Sports awards.”
Nominations for the annual awards, held at Epsom Downs race course on October 6, close on August 31.
