The advert for Larry Flynt's Hustler Club showed two men staring at a naked woman lying on her side with the text "The best view in Croydon".

It was seen by people in Wimbledon Village,  Clapham High Street and Putney Village after being posted on a van driven around south London sparking three complaints.

Larry Flynt said they told the van driver not to drive near schools, nurseries or religious venues or other areas with children.

Today the Advertising Standards Authority upheld two complaints against the WDV Talent Agency saying that, although the woman was on her back and there was no explicit nudity, it was clear one of the men was looking at her breasts and one at her crotch.

It said: "While we acknowledged that the image was relevant to the nature of the club being advertised, we considered that it was likely to be seen as objectifying, and therefore demeaning to, women.

"Because of that, we concluded that it was likely to cause serious or widespread offence, and was unsuitable for public display, particularly where it could be seen by children."
