Nearly every train out of East Croydon has been delayed or cancelled this morning amid rush-hour chaos on the rail network.
Overunning engineering works, broken-down trains, damaged overhead wires and congestion are causing widespread disruption.
Almost every train scheduled to depart the station between 8am and 9am was delayed, some by more than 45 minutes.
Southern and Thameslink trains have been disrupted, with trains from West Croydon also affected.
Irate commuters have taken to social media to complain about the disruption and a lack of information at stations.
