The Canbury Arms

The Canbury Arms occupies a corner site just off the London Road in Kingston, close to the town centre and railway station. It is at the hub of a popular residential area nestling between Richmond Park and the River Thames.

The Canbury Arms was bought by Michael Pearson in March 2005 and immediately closed for a complete refurbishment designed to recreate as many of the original features as possible. The large garden area had been sadly neglected over the years and was filled with rubbish and undergrowth. This was completely cleared and paved.

A heated retractable awning to seat a further 70 customers in all weathers was built to transform it into a popular dining and drinking area.
