Crystal Palace outcast Tommy Black could be set for a move to relegated Southend United.
The former Arsenal trainee is out of contract after not being offered a new deal at Selhurst Park and is attracting interest from the Essex club.
Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson feels Black could be a worthy addition to his side.
"Tommy could bring great quality to the final third of the pitch and if you get him fit he could be a decent player," said Tilson.
"He was on decent money at Palace but he is out of contract and is another we could well be bringing in."
Black had been out of favour at the Eagles for three seasons, following a bright start to his Selhurst Park career after joining from the Gunners in a £500,000 deal in 2000.
