Two teenage girls were robbed at knifepoint for £10 in Epsom on Saturday, May 12.

The 14 and 15-year-old went into a shop in Chessington Road to buy a drink and when they came out they noticed two females staring at them.

The suspects crossed the road to follow the teens and when they stopped to talk to a passing friend the pair walked ahead.

When the girls entered Green Lane the two females approached them to ask for the time. One victim got out her mobile phone and was asked to walk down a nearby alley.

She was then threatened with a knife and told to hand over her phone but when she refused her friend was asked for her phone or money.

The crooks stole £10 and then made off in the direction of West Ewell train station. The incident happened between 10.45pm and 11pm at the junction of Green Lane and Chessington Road.

The suspect with the knife was white, thin, 5ft 5in tall and 16 to 17-years-old.

She had chin length black or brown hair which was either wet or greasy and tied in a bun with curly bits hanging out.

She wore large gold hooped earrings, a plain dark blue zip-up hooded top and dark jogging bottoms.

The female with her was around the same age, white, skinny, 5ft 4in tall, with long blonde or light brown straight hair down to the middle of her back. She wore a matching dark blue hooded top and bottoms.
