One of Croydon's best-known nightspots, Tiger Tiger, is to close its doors on Saturday.
Reports of the High Street club's imminent closure first surfaced on social media last night, and were confirmed this morning.
A sales manager at the club confirmed that Saturday would be the club's last night open, but was otherwise unwilling to provide details about the reasons for why the club was shutting down.
She also claimed that no jobs would be lost as a result of the closure, as staff would be "transferred" to other venues within Tiger Tiger's parent company.
Despite operating a number of venues across the country, including in Haymarket in the West End, the name Tiger Tiger has long been synonymous with a night out on the tiles in Croydon.
JLS played an intimate exclusive gig for fans there in 2009 at the height of their popularity not long after thousands of screaming fans had crowded another JLS gig at Fairfield Halls with five injuries.

For those looking for one last roar on the Tiger Tiger dancefloor, Saturday will be an opportunity to experience the club as it as it has always been, though there are no special plans for the club's last night, the sales manager said.
