Boxing trainer Clinton McKenzie is urging his former prodigy Chas Symonds to get back in the ring.
The Croydon fighter has not been in contact with his former trainer for more than four months and McKenzie fears Symonds may not return to the fight game.
The 24-year-old was set to make his comeback to the ring last July after a 14-month absence following his defeat to Ross Minter, but after the bill was cancelled, the welterweight looks to have put his boxing career back on hold.
"Before the fight got called off he looked like he had got all his spark and energy back and was really eager to get back in the ring," said McKenzie.
"He has so much potential it would be such a shame if he did not fulfill it."
Symonds was regarded as one of the hottest young boxing talents in the country and boasted a record of 11 straight wins, which included four knock-outs, before his first and only defeat to Minter.
McKenzie is hoping Symonds has a change of heart and is keen get him under his wing once again.
"If you are out there, get your act togther and give me a call," he said.
"If you want to win titles, get in contact with me and we will get back in the ring.
"Time is running out."
