Croydon Schools' Football Association's borough sides' season of success continues, after two more prestige wins for the U13s.

With two more finals scheduled, it could be a record 16 triumphs for Croydon.

Last Tuesday, the U13s took on Gravesham Schools in the final of the ESFA South-East Wimbledon Challenge Cup.

Croydon went a goal down but Dominic Voss (Haling Manor) grabbed an equaliser from 20-yards.

The match went into extra-time and Kyle Rowe (Stanley Technical) edged Croydon in front before Alex Wynter (Ashburton) secured the win.

Croydon hosted Bedford Schools last Saturday in the semi-final of the Oxford United Invitation Cup.

In an epic battle, Croydon went down 2-0 inside five minutes, but a hat-trick by Wynter and further goals from Voss and Kyle De Silva (Harris CTC) saw Croydon win by a nose - 5-4 after extra-time.

Croydon complete their season with a trip to Farnham to play Aldershot & Farnborough U13s tomorrow (Thursday).

  • Crystal Palace and former Croydon Schools players Lewis Grabban and Ryan Hall, along with Croydon Guardian assistant editor Danny Brierley, presented medals to over 100 players at Croydon Schools' FA's presentation evening at Archbishop Tenison's School recently.

All the teams were praised for their outstanding disciplinary record this season, with not a single yellow or red card being reported.
