Schools visited by Recycler the Rapping Robot (Green Guardian, May 16) earlier this month were also given eco-goodies.
Self-assembly cardboard wind turbines and Peter Rabbit organic cookies were given out at the nine schools who enjoyed the robot's 45-minute performance about the three R's - reduce, reuse and recycle.
The wind turbines were donated by Ecostyle, which designs products to promote awareness and encourage the use of energy from sustainable sources.
As a celebration of Croydon Council sponsoring the schools category in this year's Green Guardian awards, Recycler performed at Kingsley Primary School, Beulah Junior School, Virgo Fidelis Preparatory School, Davidson Primary School, Applegarth Nursery and Infant School, Kensington Avenue Primary School, Margaret Roper Catholic Primary School, Norbury Manor Primary School, and West Thornton Primary School.
More information about the wind turbines can be found at ecostyle.co.uk, and on the organic cookies at peterrabbitorganics.com and stamp-collection.co.uk.
