Kew showed some fighting spirit to hold on for a draw in Saturday's Home Counties Division Two (West) clash at Burnham, writes Stuart Cosstick.

An outstanding bowling performance from left-arm spinner Rob Tindall saw wickets fall at regular intervals as Burnham set Kew 251 to win.

Tindall finished with 8-98, with three of his wickets courtesy of stumpings by keeper Max Taylor.

Kew soon slumped to 24-4 in reply, but Kidron Thomas was their hero with a spirited unbeaten 50.

Kew's hearts were in their mouths at the end, with the final pair having to survive the final over, but they finished on 163-9 to move up to eighth in the table.

Kew host Wokingham at Kew Green tomorrow (11.30am).

Kew II ran out four-wicket winners in their game at Marlow.

Martin Van Royen took two wickets and Mike Dunne one before Marlow had registered a run and they were eventually all out for 175, Nick Houlton also weighing in with three wickets.

Mike Sunne top-scored with 46 for Kew, who visit Chesham tomorrow.

Kew III went top of Thames Valley League Division Five.

They bowled Falkland out for 132 in 51 overs, Rohit Bajaj taking 6-40, and race to victory in just 18.2 overs. James Brotherton hit 81 not out.

Kew IV had the points handed to them, as Bagshot were unable to raise a side.
