A man made a last-ditch attempt to get rid of his cocaine - by throwing it under his car in front of police.
Unfortunately for him his plan did not pay off: police caught on straight away and arrested him.
Police took to Twitter to let people know “the hand is not quicker than the eye” after he was arrested on Purley Way this afternoon.

It is the second bizarre attempt to get out of an arrest in south Croydon this week.
On Saturday morning a man caught drink driving tried to climb into the back seat of the car before telling police he wasn’t the driver.
