There are two weeks to go in the South London & Kent Pool Alliance first division and Falconwood Social have secured the division title after a 10-5 victory over their closest rivals, Eltham Terrace Rack Pack.

Although they started the match 31 points ahead, Falconwood took nothing for granted, taking an 8-0 lead but Rack Pack staged a remarkable revival and won five of the last seven frames to make the score more respectable.

They played like champions, none more so than Captain, Trevor Biggs who cleared up from a dry break in frame four and Steve Dixon, who won all three of his frames.

Rack Pack's comeback was led by Fred O'Connor, scoring two out of two.

Falconwood are deserved champions, having led all season, leaving the others to fight it out beneath them and it's been close, with only ten points separating the next three teams.

Behind Rack Pack are Eltham Terrace Nuthouse, overtaking their opponents, Royal Oak Addicks with a 10-5 victory.

It was their second great triumph in a row, having beaten Rack Pack last week and it was down to another brilliant team display.

Captain Craig Jones led from the front with an unbeaten hat-trick and he was joined by the current top ranked player in the division, Shane O'Reilly.

Also unbeaten for Nuthouse was Zoe Healy, whose brace included a 7-baller and Dave Sparey wasn't far behind, with two out of three frame wins.

Sitting at the bottom earlier in the season, Nuthouse are now in the driving seat for the play off place and are only five points away from the last remaining automatic promotion spot.

The battle for the division's wooden spoon got a little bit closer, as Fox & Hounds beat Pickwick Academicals by 8 frames to 7.

It was a strange match that saw both teams dominate periods of the game.

Academicals took the first set, 3-2 but Fox whitewashed the second to go 7-3 up and need only one frame in the last set to secure the match.

They did this in the second frame of the set but Academicals battled hard and won the other four frames to finish just one frame behind their opponents.

There are now seven points between the two sides.

The Premier Division side from the Pickwick fared far better and kept up their unbeaten run in 2016 with a win against fellow relegation threatened Eltham Terrace Rovers.

The damage was done in the second set, with Pickwick taking all five frames on their way to an 11-4 triumph.

Martin Storey led the way with three frame wins and he was backed up by Paul Gafa, winning both his frames and Dean James on two out of three.

Pickwick are now eleven points ahead of their opponents and look to have pulled themselves out of trouble.

Only ten points cover the bottom three now and Glenmore Arms A are three points behind Rovers after they were also beaten 11-4 by Bellegrove.

Craig Mallinder and Kevin Smith did most of the damage for Bellegrove, each scoring unbeaten hat-tricks.

This result takes Bellegrove back to the top as Hotshots could only manage a 9-6 victory against Eltham Terrace Club A.

It looked like Eltham might steal the win, after taking the first two sets 3-2 for a 6-4 lead but Hotshots ramped it up in the final set with a whitewash.

Neil Hall kept up his great form for the season with three out of three.

After last week's 13-2 defeat to Hotshots, Falconwood Club inflicted the same score on North Heath Social Club.

Falconwood were the better side all night, although they rode their luck a little on their way to a 12-0 lead but North Heath continued to battle hard and took two of the last three frames.

Paul Elford won his only frame and Barry Barham won both of his but Stacy Redman and Alex Lawrence went all the way with three out of three.

Falconwood are now back in the title race, only five points behind the league leaders.

Two points ahead of Falconwood in third are O'Connors, who beat Crayford Social Club Rugrats by 10 frames to 5.

James Sheed performed a brilliant break and dish for the victors but Rugrats Captain, Scott Shephard came out with most credit having won all three of his frames.
