Thornton Heath man to face trial charged with plotting terror attacks
A Thornton Heath man accused of plotting terror attacks will face trial in July.
Cubeya Hassan Jama, 19, of London Road, is charged with engaging in conduct to prepare for terrorist attacks.
He appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday and has been remanded in custody for a plea and case management hearing on May 27.
A trial date was set for July 11.
Mr Jama, a Finnish national, was arrested on February 5 at Stansted Airport by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s counter terrorism unit.
He appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on February 8 but did not enter a plea.
