Police have closed part of Thornton Heath High Street amid reports of a stabbing.
Witnesses on social media reported a significant police presence in the area, as well as ambulances and "loads of people standing about".
There were multiple reports of a person being stabbed. Several said the victim had died.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers were called to reports of an armed robbery in nearby Frant Road at 8.36pm but could not immediately provide further details and it is unclear if the two incidents are related.
Transport for London said High Street was closed at the junction with Grange Park Road "due to an emergency services incident" near Thornton Heath leisure centre.
