Croydon’s Ambition festival is to return in September after its successful debut last year.
Boxpark in East Croydon will play host to the two-day event, which will include a wide range of acts and events for all ages to enjoy.
Last year’s event brought music acts including Soul II Soul and Tinariwen as well as theatre, dance and art to town-centre venues and temporary stages.

It was shortlisted for the best new festival and best metropolitan festival at the 2015 UK Festival Awards.
The festival, organised by Croydon Council, will coincide with Boxpark’s launch at Ruskin Square.
Two more town centre sites are expected to be included in the festival.
The pop-up mall development will include a 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art event space, which will host a number of other events and exhibitions throughout the year.

Councillor Timothy Godfrey, cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport, said: “The council is committed to creating a thriving and lively cultural offer and continues to raise the profile of the borough by hosting exciting large-scale cultural events that engage communities and support regeneration.
“Tapping into Boxpark’s reputation and reach, we can ensure that local people and local acts get to benefit, while opening up the borough to showcase Croydon at its best.”
Roger Wade, CEO of Boxpark, said: “We are very excited about delivering a brand new event space for south London here in Croydon.
“Croydon is one of the best connected locations in London and with the ambitious development plans for the future and rich cultural history, has enormous potential to be the one of the most vibrant live music and event hotspots in London.
“We know there are local people and groups with some great ideas for the festival and we’re keen to work with them.
“This is what our new Boxpark scheme is all about – fusing the best of the UK’s new talent with local innovation and attitude to bring creativity to the streets of Croydon.”
Boxpark and the council are encouraging local artists, groups and town centre venues to get involved.
Details of all venues, dates and how people can join in will be announced over the coming months.
