A man and a woman have denied plotting to deal drugs out of a Croydon pub.

John Nelson Robinson, 49, and Toni Sheard, 29, are both accused of conspiring to supply cocaine and cannabis at Tamworth Arms in Tamworth Road.

Mr Robinson, of Church Street, is also charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, as well as illegally being in possession of £3,500.

Miss Sheard, who lives at Tamworth Arms, is also charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between September 2014 and May 2015.

The pair appeared at Croydon Crown Court on March 18 and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

They are due to stand trial at the same court in July.

Tamworth Arms closed its doors in October 2014, two days before a Croydon Council was due to review its licence.
