A fire ripped through a storage area of a New Addington supermarket.
Two engines from Addington fire station were sent to the Co-Op on Central Parade at 3.17pm yesterday.
An electrical intake room at the back of the store was gutted in the fire, a London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said.
Firefighters had the flames under control by 3.53pm.
The store was closed while crews tackled the fire, although it had reopened this morning.
