Commuting in Croydon and Wimbledon just got easier with trams being added to Transport for London’s (TfL) tube map for the first time.
Tram services have been increase by 50 per cent between Wimbledon and Croydon after a new platform was built in Wimbledon last year.
A new track between Mitcham Junction and Beddington Lane allowing trams to travel in both directions simultaneously has meant more frequent and faster journeys.
Four more trams were also introduced in February to keep up with demand, taking the total number of trams operating across the network to 34.
Commuters can now also see live running service information on electronic update boards at TfL stations.
There are expected to be about 60 million people using the tram network by 2030.
The new map will be rolled out across stations in the next week.
