A 27-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash with another biker in Croydon.
The crash happened in Imperial Way just before 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
Despite the efforts of paramedics to save him, the young man was pronounced dead by the roadside an hour later.
His next of kin has been informed and a post-mortem has been scheduled, police said.
The second rider was taken to south London hospital with non-life threatening injuries and remains in a stable condition.
The Kent Air Ambulance was also called.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue following the crash, a police spokesman said.
Detectives have appealed for any witnesses to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Catford on their witness appeal line on 020 8285 1574 or via 101.
