The agent of Lucas Lima has claimed the Santos playmaker rejected an approach from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
The Eagles were one of several clubs who were linked with a move for Lima, who has flourished since joining Santos in 2014.
The 26-year-old earned international recognition in 2015 and has since made 13 appearances for Brazil.
Lima’s agent, Edson Khodor, says Lima was the subject of a £13.5m bid from Palace but that the attacking midfielder snubbed the south London outfit.
He told Italian website Gazzamercato: “It’s all true. There was an offer of 15 million from Crystal Palace for Santos, but Lucas said no.”
