Coloma Convent Girls’ School has raised more than £6,000 for the Royal Marsden cancer charity.
More than 80 girls on the Year 13 charities committee organised a series of events for families, pupils and staff during their annual charities week.
Pupils arranged cake sales, dance sessions, talent shows and singing competitions to raise funds for the charity.
At the end of the funding drive the girls had raised about £6,500, which had been voted as the school’s chosen charity.
Head teacher, Mrs Martin said:“Our girls have demonstrated an impressive commitment to raising funds for such a worthy cause.
“Their passion to make a difference and desire to help others is a real credit to them all. We are extremely proud that during a fun-filled week they raised over £6,500 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Support Charity”.
