A major junction in South Norwood was blocked following a two-vehicle smash.
Police were called to the junction between High Street and Portland Road shortly after 10.40am.
The van and car crashed near the pedestrian crossing opposite the Albion pub and mounted the kerb.
No one was injured.
Witness Richard Hough said: “A police officer was stopped near where it happened and it’s really lucky there was no one on the pavement when it happened because that kerb can’t be more than 10-inches high.”
