Forecasters have warned that London and much of the south east will hit sub-zero temperatures this week.
The Met Office has said temperatures could fall to -6C this week.
Frost already set in this morning and is expected again on Wednesday, November 30.
Lewisham Council was feeling the chill today and posted on its environment Twitter feed: “Please note, due to issues with garden waste being frozen into the bins, garden waste collection will be cancelled today. @LewishamCouncil

However, despite the freezing conditions it is expected to remain sunny until later this week where it will become overcast.
The conditions in the south of England are nothing in comparison to those experienced in parts of Scotland last week where temperatures fell to a bracing -12C.
