A murder investigation has been launched after man was shot following a large fight in Thornton Heath.

Police were called to the huge brawl in the Function Rooms in Brigstock Parade, London Road, at about 5am on Sunday, November 27.

Although no one was identified as injured at the time, police were called soon afterwards to a south London hospital after a 28-year-old man presented himself with a gunshot injury.

Police believe he was shot during the fight at the Function Rooms.

The man died on the evening of Tuesday, November 29. He has not been formally identified, but police believe they know who he is and his next of kin have been informed.

A post mortem is due to be held tomorrow, Thursday, December 1.

No arrests have been made.

The Metropolitan Police’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating, and would like to speak to anyone who was at the Function Rooms or in the area on Sunday morning.
