Thieves who burgled a charity shop in Selsdon stole the collection fund for a volunteer’s funeral who recently passed away.
The criminals entered Mind charity shop some time before 1am on the night of Sunday, December 4 where they stole antique jewellery that had been donated the shop along with the funeral collection.
Each item was worth £30 to £40.
Manager Victoria Higgins said: “We are in shock.
“What is it coming to when they go into a charity shop?
“The collection box said ‘Ros’s funeral.”
The charity shop is located at 135 Addington Road, Croydon, CR2 8LH
