A car ploughed through metal railings before smashing into the front of a bakery in Broad Green in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The blue Ford Focus careered straight into the front door of Coughlans Bakery on the corner of London Road and Mayday Road at 5.39am.
Police are treating the crash as a damage-only collision and the driver of the car has not been arrested.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “No one was harmed, fortunately. The driver walked away fine.
“The car crashed into the railings at 5.39am and caused damage to the railings. The local authority has sorted out the railings - or is looking to as quickly as possible.”
