A man was hit by a bus in a major crash in a main road in Purley.
Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Brighton Road at about 3.50pm on Thursday, February 9.
London Air Ambulance, London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police officers attended.
The man, in his 60s, suffered head injuries and was taken by LAS as a priority to a major trauma centre where he remains in a critical condition.

The double decker bus involved is thought to be the route 60.
Brighton Road was closed in both directions at Kimberly Place following the collision.
One witness, Alistair Ross, said: "There's five or six buses parked up by the side of the road. All the traffic has stopped."
Another posted on Twitter: "Major accident in Purley Brighton Road."
The road has since been reopened.
