Thornton Heath grime star Stormzy’s mum has revealed a rap the artist made at the age of eight years old.

The Croydon-born artist shows off his rhymes, about ‘smelly’ girls at his school and hating homework, on the sofa of his home.

Filmed by his mum in 2001, Stormzy - real name Michael Omari - is filmed playing video games and rapping in the video.

Mother of the star, now 23, who performed live on stage with Ed Sheehan at the Brit Awards last week, sent the film to Noisey.

This is the lyrics to the grime artist’s rap:

I rep south London, home of the brave

Hate homework, but I don't misbehave

Hold my head and I pull up my jeans, And I spit bare rhymes in the school canteen,

I go hard like Nan's chicken and chips,
And I look fly in my Adidas creps,

Got told off for rapping by Miss Motherwell,

But I don't care cos all girls smell,
I'm little Mike on the mic,
And I'm on the hype!
