A teenager has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed just yards from the entrance of a college in Central Croydon.
Kyle Knowles, 19, of Franklin Way, near the Valley Retail Park, was arrested in connection with the attack on Thursday, March 23.
He was later charged with GBH with intent and possession of a knife.
The victim was found with stab wounds in College Road at about 12.25pm on Tuesday, March 14.
A quick-thinking member of the college’s staff administered first aid until paramedics arrived and took him to hospital.
Knowles appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 24, where he was remanded in custody.
A date for his pre-trial hearing at Croydon Crown Court will be confirmed in due course.
