Croydon police officer charged with GBH following an off-duty fight
A serving Croydon police officer will appear before Crown Court after being charged with grevious bodily harm.
PC Alex Fackerell, 23 appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court on April 11, and pleaded not guilty to the single GBH charge.
He was arrested on December 5 last year following an off-duty fight on November 1 2016, in Sutton High Street.
Fackerell appeared alongside another man, Bradley Cody, 24, of no fixed address, who is also charged with GBH.
The two men have been bailed without conditions to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Tuesday, May 9.
The Metropolitan Police's directorate of professional standards has been informed and the officer placed on restricted duties.
