A peace vigil is being held tonight at the Queens Gardens following the Manchester terror attack.

So far 22 people have been confirmed dead and more than 50 injured after a “lone-wolf” attacker set off a bomb at Manchester Arena last night at an Ariana Grande concert.

This comes after Croydon Council has opened a book of condolence, to show “solidarity with Manchester” at the Town hall.

Croydon Council leader Tony Newman, said in a statement online: “Croydon stands in solidarity with the people of Manchester and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of those who lost their lives and were injured at the Manchester Concert Explosion”.

The book is available in the Foyer, all are welcome to sign.

The vigil will start at 6pm, underneath the peace tree.
