Church-goers have been asked to avoid the Old Coulsdon Congregational Church in late August as work is done on the church.
This year the church has extended its maintenance period on site to two week from August 21 to September 2.
This is to allow the re-decoration of the Cameron Hall and allow free access for the in-house team to paint the Heath Room among other maintenance tasks.
The church asked that during the period "unless you are coming up to the church to be part of the registered in house team or have been specifically requested to come on a particular day, it would be very helpful if you could stay away from the premises."
The exception to this is Sunday morning services which will continue as usual.
