If you're in the mood for some "Atlanta styled barbecue" then look no further than East Croydon.

In June it was reported that a new business would be taking over the site of the The Cricketers pub at 107 Addiscombe Road.

That business can now be confirmed as Miss P's Barbecue.

The restaurant started up a kickstarter to help with costs and said on the website they "have signed a long lease at the Cricketers pub in East Croydon. It allows us to smoke and serve our barbecue all on the same site. It also allows us to offer customers the complete barbecue experience - big trays of food with cold pints of beer."

They'll be aiming to open by the end of July.

"We have done our best to contact various contractors already and get a project timescale in place, so that should this Kickstarter succeed, we will be able to open on time."

This will be the first permanent site for the restaurant that boasts a menu that includes foods such as pulled pork, beef brisket and Cajun catfish.
