A third man has been charged with murder after a man was shot in the head in Croydon.

Joshua Taylor, 22, of Melrose Avenue in Thornton Heath, was charged yesterday, July 5, with conspiracy to murder.

He will appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court later today.

Police were called at 10:06pm on June 9 to reports of the shooting on the A232 Croydon flyover, at the junction with Park Lane.

Six minutes later, officers were notified that a man had been taken to a south London hospital suffering a gunshot injury to his head.

The victim, 24-year-old Tinodiwanashe ‘Tino’ Makwanya from Croydon, died at hospital.

A post-mortem examination on Sunday, June 11 at Croydon Mortuary gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.

Two people have been previously charged with Tino's murder.

Stephen Weatherley, 41, of Dunheved Road West, Thornton Heath, was charged with murder on June 23.

He last appeared at the Old Bailey on June 27 and was remanded in custody with a provisional trial date set for December 4.

Mahad Ibrahim, 26 of Columbine Avenue, South Croydon, was charged with murder and was due to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday, July 1.

A 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on June 29 has been released under investigation.
