Adults looking to boost their skills as a way of getting a job are in luck.
An open day at the Croydon Adult Learning and Training (Calat) in New Addington on July 11 will see a focus on business computing, with an assessment of skills and a chance to see demonstrations of commonly used office software.
Between 9.30am and 3pm, there will be sessions on finding out how a Calat course provided by Croydon Council could help find people a job with a difference. Other parts of the day will focus on business computing, with an assessment of skills and a chance to see demonstrations of commonly used office software.
“Although thousands of people use Calat every year, there are still plenty more who could benefit from its services," Councillor Alisa Flemming.
"I’d encourage anyone who thinks they could benefit from learning some new skills to go along for a taster session.”
