A Croydon mum-of-two is set to launch every person with a sweet tooth's dream.

Tolu Frimpong is set to unveil her DIY candy buffet kit that allows customers to design their own treats for whatever occasion.

The DIY kits let consumers pick a primary colour and two optional secondary colours suitable for their theme.

Each kit hired will come with tablecloths, sweets, jars, scoops and sweet bags and even comes with step by step instructions on how to create the DIY candy buffet. Once the event is completed consumers can send the jars and scoops back in the same box with prepaid postage.

“I started my career in marketing and worked in that industry for ten years and I was comfortable," Mrs Frimpong said.

"When I fell pregnant with my first child it gave me the chance to evaluate what I wanted to achieve in the future, combining my strengths and ambition was what brought the birth of Something Sweeter.

"Seeing other empowering mothers start a business after they had children inspired me to do the same and be an example to the next generation."

Mrs Frimpong said events such as wedding would make for the ideal event to test out your candy making skills.

“The candy buffet trend originally started off in the US and Australia where sweet treats was just as mandatory at every event as a birthday cake.

"Whereas the market is still emerging in the UK and is set to grow rapidly over the next five years with more and more weddings and events incorporating this trend.”
