Britain's next big thing in the world of golf might just come from Addington.
Junior golfer Stirling Halai-Carter has just won qualification for the final of the American Golf Junior Championship.
The Addington Court Golf Club youngster took on the area’s best in the boys handicap competition at the regional qualification at Farleigh Golf Club.
Despite falling agonisingly short of victory with a second place finish, Stirling now progress to the national final on August 16 at Gainsborough Golf Club.
He will now take on qualifiers from all over the UK and Ireland for the coveted trophy.
