A man has been charged in connection with a number of assaults in Croydon, including the stabbing of 71-year-old man Leslie Vassell.
Jordan Wright, 24, of Westbourne Road in Croydon, was charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and assault on police.
One of the charges of GBH and the possession of an offensive weapon charge relate to an incident in Blackhorse Lane on July 18, with the other GBH allegation relating to an incident Portland Road on July 21.
Wright appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today (July 28).
