A new KFC in Selsdon would not be a nuisance for nearby residents a report has said.
A decision will be made Thursday on whether or not the empty building at 168 Addington Road will be turned into a chicken shop.
While it will be recommended to the planning sub-committee that the planning application be approved, it seems not everyone is on board.
The application has attracted 10 comments from the public, all of whom object to the proposal.
Smell and noise were the main areas of concern but the report - which will be put before the planning sub-committee - said it shouldn't cause too much distress to residents.
"The addition of the plant works to the rear would not increase the level of background noise to such a degree that it would harm the amenities of the neighbouring occupiers," it said.
"Furthermore, the additional plant works and associated noise attenuation works would not harm the amenities of the neighbouring occupiers.
"The odour control measures would mean there would not be any harm on the amenities of neighbouring occupiers."
Initially the application also stated that opening hours would last until 1am, this has since been amended to 12am.
