The mother of an aspiring rapper who was stabbed to death has urged others to talk about the dangers of knife crime.
Andre Aderemi was killed in a violent pre-planned attack one year ago today (August 16) in Monks Hill.
On the anniversary of his death, family and friends gathered at that very same spot to remember the life taken far too soon.
"I encourage people to continue to have conversations with their children about dangers of carrying knives," Andre's mother Yemi Hughes said.

Along with Croydon MPS and dozens of residents, Yemi released balloons in celebration of Andre's life and to ask youngsters to think about their life choices.
The purple and blue balloons also carried with them a special quote from Andre.
“If you’re tryna do road lil man, make sure you know your purpose.”
