Police have a tough job and have to come down hard on those who commit crime.
But the officers from Croydon Town Centre showed they have a softer side as well when they noticed a damsel-in-distress.
Wednesday night the officers noticed an elderly woman in a spot of bother; so they came to the rescue.
They tweeted: "Flagged down to an elderly distressed female in the Town Centre, currently escorting her home to Bromley #JobLikeNoOther."

This wasn't the first time the police have gone the extra mile in their line of duty.
In early September a policeman came to the aid of a school student after he had a little trouble tying his tie.
