Outrage over BNP leaflets

Comments (35)BNP leaflets about Muslim extremism have been slammed as an "abominable distortion of Islam" by Croydon Mosque leaders.
The leaflets - claiming that Islam is a "threat to us all" and calling on people to join the party's "crusade against Islamification of Britain" - were sent to residents in South Norwood last week, shortly after the attempted terrorist attacks on London and Glasgow.
After getting one of the leaflets resident Mahmood Tufail said: "There's a lot of lies in the leaflet and I got the impression people are trying to stir up trouble - especially with what's been going on in the past few weeks."
Mr Tufail said people were now feeling "very nervous".
"I've spoken among my friends," he added, "We don't know what to do about this. I just hope the leaflets won't inflame non-Muslims against us. With all that is going on, people are very nervous. This leaflet creates the wrong stereotypes. The people who carry out these extremist acts are a tiny, fringe minority. Unfortunately, this backfires on everyone else."
A spokesman for Croydon Mosque called the leaflets "inflammatory" and said: "The vast majority of people will recognise it for the blatant scare tactics that it deploys and which have become the hallmark of the BNP."
He said the mosque in London Road, Thornton Heath, had been working hard to promote community cohesion.
"Although leaflets such as the ones being distributed by the BNP in South Norwood have the potential to be divisive, our firm expectation is that the leaflets will be ignored as the local community is ethnically diverse and vibrant, and furthermore benefiting from the very social and community harmony that the BNP seeks to destroy," the spokesman added.
A BNP spokesman said: "All we're trying to do is raise the issue that Islam is not compatible with the British way of life. We are a Christian country and Islam is destroying democracy."

Don't the Croydon Imams realise that we are a tolerant, restrained, civilised people? They insult our intelligence with their lies about the british seeking revenge.
We Brits use the free democratic elections to change the government and international foreign policies. Unlike other so called British within our communities that would rather use blackmail and the bomb to get their way.
However, successive Conservative and Labour governments are responsible for the terrorist threat Britain now faces.
For decades, Britains front door has been left wide open for hate-filled clerics, would-be terrorists and thousands of their supporters to walk straight through.
According to security experts, there are at least 3,000 trained Muslim terrorists in Britain.
They are backed up by an Islamist fifth column of at least 300,000 sympathisers who agree with their aim of destroying our western society, our traditional freedoms and our way of life.
Only the British National Party has the courage to call for an immediate halt to immigration/asylum from Muslim countries and make sure that any Islamist fifth column is rooted out before they launch yet another terrorist spectacular.

Now thats some minority isnt it! It will only be a matter of time before they get it right over here in the UK. Remember only a small percentage of incidents are actually reported to the general public because of the Reporting Diversity laws that exist to protect them from the MSM.

I do have a problem with immigration - especially the mass immigration we've experienced - if there is good reason to believe that this has taken place against the wishes of a majority of the British people. Don't forget, we're supposed to be a democracy. Since when did we agree or consent in any shape or form to allowing the rest of the world and his brother to flood in? When was our opinion on the subject ever canvassed by any of our governments? (Our "representatives" Har, har!)
When the British people have had a chance to get their say on the matter, and have approved immigration in a binding referendum, then I"ll have "no problem" with it. ...Except that I strongly suspect such a ludicrous policy of bringing in hordes more people, into a country with a "shortage" of housing, with packed public transport and over-crowded roads, with rapidly deteriorating public services, with a looming power shortage and droughts if we have three consecutive months of dry weather, would be roundly rejected. ...And I haven't even bothered to point out that in a world of climate change, global warming, and dwindling resources, we need more people like a hole in the head!
For Christ's sake think before you come out with these politically-correct platitudes, Twanky.

My mum works in immigration. She said its impossible to track these people down as they constantly change addresses, renting rooms etc. People who own properties here are as much to blame as they take the opportunity to make money from these people by renting out rooms, knowing they are illegal. Then you have establishments like fake colleges who give these people fake student status so they can stay here on student visas etc, not have to pay ctax etc. So there are British people who exploit these people and add to the problem.
As for voting BNP, well Im asian for a start so I wouldnt. I think they are using the immigration issue to attract people but what other issues would they address?
As for muslims, they just fuel these people, I cant blame people for wanting to vote BNP when you see what is going on in this country. As for Sharia Law, why the hell would we want that over here? For goodness sakes!

However these attempt should be stopped at all times because we live in one country, we can't have different laws.
And finally i give up on those who support the BNP. What they preach is racial bigotry, which is strikingly similar to the religious bigotry spread by Islamist groups like Hizt-Ub-Tahrir, who they are so against.

They became Crown Colonys - part of the 'Britsh Empire.' I even grew up in a Crown Colony.
So what did we do wrong - many countries gained from our presence; Law, education and proper infrastructure.
What they did with it after independence is not our fault.

As for the BNP, the greatest political advert they have had is in the form of the present government.
Not all Muslims are terrorists in the same way that not all Brits support the BNP.
As for everyone being racist 'mr history' I would say don't measure everyone with by your own shortcomings.

In the past Muslim community have been victim of ****-bashing by the British society. The British establishment did nothing to tackle the physical and verbal abuse.
